<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article briefly describes the history of the non-pulsating type blood pumps for ventricular assist circulation and heart-lung machine. Disclosed the main advantages of these pumps before pulsating type, especially for implantable systems development. However, disadvantages of these pumps and the directions of minimize or eliminate ones have shown. Specific examples of our implantable centrifugal and axial pump developments are presented. Declare the ways to further improve the pumps. </p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>вспомогательное кровообращение</kwd><kwd>непульсирующие насосы крови</kwd><kwd>имплантируемые центробежные и осевые насосы</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>assisted circulation</kwd><kwd>nonpulsatile blood pump</kwd><kwd>implantable centrifugal and axial pump</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Иткин Г.П., Герасимук А.А., Матвеев Ю.Г., Рома- нов О.В., Толпекин В.Е.
