<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The treatment of extensive and deep wounds and burns remains a highly pressing issue in modern surgery. Many of the associated challenges are linked to dysfunction of the dermis – the connective tissue matrix of the skin. Without its full restoration, achieving satisfactory long-term wound healing outcomes is difficult. This review focuses on artificial acellular scaffolds for dermal regeneration, as well as the fundamental principles underlying their design. The scaffolds discussed (Integra, Giamatrix, SmartMatrix, and NovoSorb) are already widely used in clinical practice today and have demonstrated high effectiveness. Currently, most commercially available dermal substitute products, as well as tissue engineering solutions in general, are manufactured abroad. Therefore, evaluating international experience and applying it to the development of Russian-made scaffolds could significantly improve their accessibility for patients.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>кожная рана</kwd><kwd>контракция</kwd><kwd>ожоги</kwd><kwd>тканевая инженерия</kwd><kwd>безрубцовое заживление</kwd><kwd>скаффолд</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>skin wound</kwd><kwd>contraction</kwd><kwd>burns</kwd><kwd>tissue engineering</kwd><kwd>scarless healing</kwd><kwd>scaffold</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа поддержана грантом Курчатовского института «Фундаментальные междисциплинарные исследования в области создания природоподобных технологий» по подтеме 1Ф 2.1.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Алексеев АА, Малютина НБ, Кожемякина ВВ.
