<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>We modified the method of retroperitoneoscopic live donor nephrectomy and evaluated results of first 10 pro- cedures. We performed four left- and six right-sided donor nephrectomy. There were no conversions to open or hand-assisted surgery. All organs have been successfully transplanted. Retroperitoneoscopic live donor nephrec- tomy is safe and feasible. The method has three main advantages over conventional laparoscopic nephrectomy: the absence of contact with bowel, spleen, liver and other intra-abdominal structures, more comfortable access to the renal artery, absence of intraperitoneal pressure elevation. </p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ретроперитонеоскопия</kwd><kwd>донорская нефрэктомия</kwd><kwd>лапароскопия</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>retroperitoneoscopic donor nephrectomy</kwd><kwd>laparoscopy</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Alcaraz A., Rosales A. et al.
